My name is Tex Banks. I've worked on a high school news team and had experience working with people from different backgrounds. From there I was responsible for handling the anchor's camera. I think that I would make a good camera operator for a local news station, events, sports games, storm chasing, or anything else. Going through these courses has helped me better understand how to use my camera.

Through my university projects, I hope to showcase my camera work skills. I showed that through my first
project, which was a five-minute student short. Where these two bargoers, get into a gambling game. Tensions grow as they play several rounds of a poker game. I tried to create a strong mood and capture the characters' emotions through the short. But for the projects I'm hoping to work with later on I hope it shows my skill set; while also showing I'm willing to improve. I'm also willing to learn from more expert filmmakers, with other people who know better.

With my next two shorts, I really hope to showcase how my camera work changed. Here is the second one, which is a horror movie parody, that admittedly isn't as good as it could be due to personal issues and filming mistakes. But, by far it's my personal favorite of the shorts I've filmed made. Where I really got to do my own thing, really experiment with how I make films. Even with the issues, it means a lot to me. Finally, I will showcase my final work on here being that of a local commercial, for a donut shop cut up into three separate segments. A 60-second, 30-second, and 15-second commercial.
